Re: Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
Well this is kinda embarrassing! Got home cleaned the roller on the trainer, changed the wheel and found an old cassette to use my winter tyres (Schwalbe Durrano) instead of gp4000. Tyres pumped up to 120psi. Then put on the trainer and it was near the middle of the lines. So I warmed up the tyre a ...

Re: Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
Ok cheers, I’m away working at the mo so will update once back.
I shall clean the wheel and roller and possibly look at a turbo tyre. It should help in the long run.

Re: Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
I conntacted Garmin and had an online chat with someone, but was as much use as a wet fart. There is no evidence of shards of magnets hanging around, though if they fell out in large pieces they would be flung out by the rotating forces quite fast and disappear on my messy garage floor. My son has u...

Re: Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
After a bit of faffing and attempting to get fly wheel off I found that the fan plate just pulls off the shaft. 8391DFAB-10EE-400D-815E-0D9E68542C15.jpeg So there is holes for 8 off 20mm dia 5mm thick ferrite magnets. Though there is only 6 in this one. Should there be 8? There are no bits of magnet...

Re: Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
Looks like there should be 8 fixed coin magnets. But looking with a torch I can only see 6 with two missing as shown. 18D99631-B5C8-4093-A527-839003994B6B.jpeg Anyone know how to get to the magnets? Do I need to remove the fly wheel to release the centre shaft? Currently at home have nothing to hold...

Re: Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
I’ll look into the fixed magnets, but if One is missing how would I know. I did look at the plate and test it all around for magnetism with my screw driver. But I will take another look as I wasn’t sure it was strong all around.

Re: Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I bought the trainer 2nd hand, I’ll contact Garmin and see if they can help. I have access to electrical testing scopes via very good friends and work colleagues in the engineering company I work in. So if there is a way of testing the coils I could get it done eas...

Tacx flow T2240 calibration issue
Hi, I have a calibration issue with my trainer. This is not the normal issue regarding the app. Firmware is up to date. The trainer has been fine for 12 months but the issue I have now is that I can not get the wheel tight enough against the roller to achieve the line in the middle of the green in t...
