Had the same problem today - the first time.
TDA does not start - cannot connect with Garmin.
Tacx Cloud and iPad iOS app with no problem.

Support tells me: known problem with TDA. Delete the program and install anew!

My question to you:
New installation means: new download from Microsoft Store?

I use a Stages powermeter with TDA, which normally delivers power and cadence - i.e. to Garmin Edge.
TDA sees it only as power sensor. So, it‘s the same like Assioma.
I think, you should apply a Garmin cadence sensor to your crank.

Just out of curiosity: don‘t you need speed to get distance value?

No problems here with download videos, connect to cloud, ride own GPS workouts - even ride videos online (without downloading before).
So - no problem at all with connection or downloading.

I found a solution - not the best - but ok for me.
Unfortunately this device works only with Windows, but I'm sure there are any for Mac, too.

I've been trying to edit the last name, location and avatar for days. This works on the profile page, but the changes are not saved.

I have been using the desktop app for days via Garmin Login. Has worked great.

I never saw that unwanted pause below 20 km/h. Strange... but as I wrote, it seems to depend on movie. Mostly it kicks in at 20, sometimes it kicks in at 5 km/h. But never waits to stillstand. I once had TTs4 on my laptop with the Tacx ANT+ antenna.
When installing TDA I did not delete anything of TTs and my TDA worked with the TTs4 antenna via ANT+.
(Meanwhile I disconnected it and use Bluetooth - but it worked!)
So - if you are an old Tacx user - maybe you have this antenna in stock?

Yes I can 😉 I tested a Garmin cadence sensor 2.gen via bluetooth because if I use the NEO built in I always have peaks of about 200 rpm durind downhills when not pedalling. But I could not use the external Garmin cadence sensor because pause kicks in when cadence goes zero - although speed was over ...

Just a thought...
Have you installed some photo or video program lately (camera software, video editing program...)?
It might happen that such software installs some incombatible codeces...
