they are not capable of as many rewrites as standard platter drive, also never defragment as that`s a needless rewrite..I've lost a lot of the small fast SSD type drives we use with the camera, they often do not last a year
colours and contrast in that pic are great.

if you are just wanting to copy yourself from one PC to another there is a data file amongst C:Windows/TacxTrainerSoftware/TTS4/Settings etc it is actually best to have a complete copy of TacxtrainerSoftware folder as It contains user data/ trainings/settings and importantly .lic file

After similar experiences with lost data I do believe I have more money tied up in backup hard drives than in the originals

Before you do anything make a copy of all of the TTS Tacx Folder as it will have all past training trainings and settings etc.. then create restore point on your PC. When you try launch TTS what exactly happens.. If you have your original licence code as the topic stated the server to allow reauthor...

Could be something to do with the very high quality of videos and very accurate altitude data that comes with them..I can't understand why people use TDA when Rouvy is available

My Lap Top has no issues.I am still using it for other applications with no problems. The issue was your particular laptop Dave, it had issues we remember it and not fondly,, it was higher spec than my PC which has zero issues with TDA yet your laptop had issue after issue

In all honesty mostly issues had with TTS was beta versions which would then get update to fix issue then have another so yet another update etc which finally led to quite stable public release that like Steve (sgmack) and Dave (cycling in circles since 2011) had very few issues with

I strongly suspect TDA will never work with anything other then Tacx smart trainers. But Tacx Smart trainers also have ANT+... I took screenshots of the overhead map (red route on dark blue background if i remember correctly) but those screenshots will be on one of many archived hard drives i have...if get a chance i will pop them in Hard Drive docking station try reclaim the screenshots.

Just to clarify..ANT logo in your devices will stay greyed out until..
1 you switch them on in that devices window

Check in Windows settings/devices that ANT antenna is found/enabled. also will need ANT radio service and plug in seevice installed and up to date

That above is the windows store live version of TDA.. i plug in a (in my case) Tacx ANT antenna, open TDA and Search finds ANT and BT devices so the software itself is working fine.. You need to investigate using windows setting as yo why your USB ANT antenna or in case of laptop built in ANT is not...
